Yong Nam Holdings reports 267% jump in Q1 profit to S$6m

The building boom in Singapore and the Middle East is proving to be a boon for engineering and construction company Yong Nam Holdings.
Its net profit for the first quarter rose 267 percent to about S$6 million. Revenues increased 56 percent to S$47.4 million.

Building materials group Hong Leong Asia on Wednesday reported a 38 per cent rise in first quarter earnings to S$30.2 million while its revenue rose 34 per cent to about S$1.1 billion.

Wee Hur Holdings Ltd said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Wee Hur Construction Pte Ltd, has been awarded a $5.7 million contract for the proposed erection of 2-storey detached dwelling house with a swimming pool, located at Cove Drive, Sentosa.

Chip Eng Seng reports 40% rise in Q1 net profit to S$8m

Construction firm Chip Eng Seng has reported a 40 percent rise in first-quarter net profit to S$8 million.
